Susanna Griffith, honor graduate of the Culinary Institute of America offer a menu to make your sports weekends a fun occasion with friends and family.
Sports Weekend Wine Party?
The term “Sports Weekend Wine Party” is not necessarily an oxymoron. A wine party can actually coexist and work as one with a sports viewing party. This is especially true for those that are tired of serving the usual fare of chips, pretzels and dip with a side order of beer. The main consideration for this type of party is just remembering to keep it easy, fun and flavorful.
Treat your quests to something unique with the following food and wine carte du jour. The menu that we came up with puts a slight twist on some of the classic “sports viewing” food favorites. We then paired the food items with a few wines that we thought would complement the dishes. Just remember that you don’t need to over think anything and enjoy.
