As the corporate fine wine buyer for Centennial Fine Wine & Spirits, Lance draws on sixteen years of experience to secure the top wines from around the world. He travels to every major wine producing region in the world to gain firsthand perspective from growers, winemakers, negociants and importers, maintaining an exhaustive tasting schedule to assess the quality of every selection. In addition to purchasing, he dedicates a lot of time to education and staff development for Centennial's wine consultant team.

His formal wine education began with the Wine & Spirit Education Trust, followed by the completion of level one with the Court of Master Sommeliers and l’Ecole du Vin through the CIVB (Conseil Interprofessionel du Vin de Bordeaux.) Lance’s dedication to the education and development of Bordeaux appreciation led to him being awarded Prud’homme de la Jurade de Saint-Emilion in 2008. Last year, he successfully completed the Certified Specialist of Wine through the Society of Wine Educators and plans to sit the Societies Certified Wine Educator exam this year.
